RESTORING HEALTH NATURALLY

WHAT IS KINESIOLOGY?

Kinesiology is a holistic therapy initially developed in the 1960’s by an American chiropractor.  It uses muscle testing as a diagnostic tool to gain information about the body’s organs and systems.  With kinesiology you can identify the root cause of your problems as well as the best course of action to restore your health.

By testing a person’s muscle response, you can find out what is not working well for that specific person and what needs to be addressed to improve their health. As such, each treatment is tailored to the patients’ individual needs.

Today there are many different forms of kinesiology and it’s used by chiropractors, osteopaths, nutritionists, doctors and physicians around the world.

HOW DOES THE KINESIOLOGY TREATMENT WORK?

Over the last 10 years at Cambridge Kinesiology I’ve identified three key areas central in restoring my clients’ health. These three areas now constitute the foundation for my Restore Health Protocol:

RELIEVE

Identify and address factors that cause stress to your body. This can be from food, infections, chemical imbalances, emotional stress, trauma, or as is often the case, a combination of the above.

REPLENISH

Identify and correct nutritional deficiencies through diet and supplements. To maintain a good nutritional status is essential for your body and mind to function in an optimal way.

REBALANCE

Optimise health recovery by rebalancing the body. This step generally makes clients feel more relaxed, as it balances tight muscles and makes the body work neurologically more in sync.

The body has an immense capacity to self-heal, given the right circumstances. The Restore Health Protocol works to optimise these circumstances for you. Kinesiology does not diagnose disease, but can identify what is not working properly and how to change that. In some cases, such as emotional stress, we may not need to work on all three areas.

ABOUT THE TREATMENT

Kinesiology is a non-intrusive therapy and I use gentle muscle testing, normally on an arm or a leg, to identify and address imbalances in your body. My treatments may involve acupressure, sacro cranial work, stress release, body balancing, gentle structural adjustments as well as diet and supplement recommendations.

  • The client will lie on a treatment table and stays fully dressed.

  • The first session will include taking a full case history of your health and lifestyle, and therefore takes about 1.5 hrs.

  • Follow up sessions can be either 1 hour or 1.5 hours depending on the complexity of your symptoms.

  • Please let me know at the time of booking if the appointment is for a child.

  • I see clients at the Therapy Room on 25 Oxford Road, Cambridge, CB4 3NX.
